1. Area of
customer's complaint, passenger's front floor
area.
Customer placed paper towel
in area of leak.

2. Using a trim
plug puller to assist, remove scuff plate.

3. Scuff plate and
kick pad are removed.

4. Pull back
carpet and remove all wet damaged detner.

5. Remove
any standing water.

6. Rag dry
floor.

7. Run
shower test.

8. Water was seen
leaking in from the top dash area.

9. Shown here is a
view of the cowl dash seam where water can be seen
coming down while water testing.


10. Apply dum dum
to seal this split seam.

11. Once sealed by
feathering the dum dum over the complete seam,
verify the repair by re-water testing.

12. Once
repair has been verified, spray liquid metal over
the dum dum.

13. Shown
here is the total area having been sprayed with
liquid metal.
14. Replace
all wet damaged detner. (SEE TECH TIPS
BELOW.)
15. Reinstall carpet. (SEE TECH TIPS
BELOW.)

16.
Reinstall kick pad and scuff plate.

17.
Deodorize as needed. (SEE TECH TIPS
BELOW.)
